Encoder

Specialized repair of incremental and absolute optical, magnetic and capacitive encoders including replacement of damaged coding disks, repair or replacement of optical units (LED and photodiode/phototransistor), restoration of differential signal processing circuits and correction of bearing and shaft related problems. Common faults include loss of pulses, noise in A/B/Z signals, absolute positioning errors, physical damage to glass or plastic disks and ingress of industrial dust. The process includes precise optical cleaning, signal testing with oscilloscope and encoder tester, recalibration and ensuring compatibility with drives and CNC or servo controllers. Encoders are critical elements of position and speed feedback in precision machinery, robots and motion control systems.
