Elevator Electrical Panel

Repair of main boards, VVVF drives, and safety circuits.

Elevator electrical panels are responsible for precise cabin movement control, speed management, floor-level stopping accuracy, and full compliance with safety standards (EN 81). These panels typically include the main control motherboard, Variable Voltage Variable Frequency (VVVF) drives (such as Yaskawa, Fuji or Mitsubishi), series safety circuits (Safety Chain) incorporating door switches, overspeed governors, buffers and safety gears, electromagnetic brake systems, and in some cases group control or IoT-enabled smart systems. Common failures include burnt IGBT modules in the drive, motherboard damage due to voltage fluctuations or moisture ingress, interrupted safety circuits caused by faulty contacts, motor encoder errors, and software parameter issues related to speed and acceleration. Expert repair involves complete safety circuit testing with multimeters and safety testers, encoder signal measurement using oscilloscopes, replacement of power modules in the drive, reprogramming of VVVF parameters, motherboard repair or replacement, and final system calibration to achieve smooth travel and precise floor leveling. Strict adherence to safety standards is mandatory throughout the repair process.
